Folk dances with basic steps from ballroom dance and latin dance:

Sailor folk dance: Video/DVD and books

By each description of a dance I have referred to a video/DVD with dance instructions in the described basic steps and dance figures. Among sometimes somewhat different ways of dancing a dance I have selected the instruction I found most simple and suited for traditional Danish conditions, where common people dance for pleasure. I prefer videos for books, and I hope that the 26 dances here some day can be shown on the web as videos.

Books can in Denmark be borrowed from any library through ones own local library. This is not the case with videos. So I had to find the videos in different libraries. Copenhagen Main Library is a good library for these videos, and you can borrow them there (on the spot) without you need to be a resident in Copenhagen.

(They could though maybe be compressed to one 4 hours video, by omitting repetitions).
